Happy Chicks is proud to be unique in lots of ways. Having grown from my passion for poultry, every area of our growth has been from giving customers what they want.
In 2006 when we first opened, we were busy with full starter packs and beginners courses. Now, with an enthusiastic regular customer base as well as lots of excited new poultry keepers, we are able to give our customers exactly what they want, weather they are new to the hobby, experienced enthusiasts, or professional breeders.
We are unique because
- We grow our birds free range once they're old enough to go out, so none of our girls are ever 'beak trimmed'
- We only supply to private keepers for free range conditions so we vaccinate to prepare for those conditions, the same for all birds including pure breeds
- We breed, incubate, hatch, grow and vaccinate here, under our control, to ensure the highest quality.
- We have a regular, nationwide delivery service, delivering our own birds and goods only, at great prices, the most you can pay is £40
- You are really welcome to visit our farm, without an appointment, between 10 and 4 every day (except some bank holidays) We close Thursdays
- We supply birds at any age from 1 day old to point of lay, and 18 month old rescued hens
- We manufacture all our range of wooden housing here, and have the Eglu Go and Cube in stock.
- We have our own range of healthcare products as well as the best from other manufacturers
- We can advise on healthcare throughout your birds life, all our staff are experienced keepers, some qualified to AMTRA R-SQP.
- Combining our own farm use for well over 10,000 birds with sales on ebay, our web site and in our shop means our prices are unbeatable on like for like products
