New Saviour to most illnesses!!!!!
Herban Liquid
Herban Poultry Tonic is a concentrated blend of herbal and essential oils (including Oregano Oil). Effective Organic alternative to Emtryl or other antibiotics.
Suitable for all poultry and game birds to combat most diseases and illnesses including Avian Flu, Blackhead, Coccidiosis, mycoplasma, infectious bronchitis, salmonella, e-coli etc.
General tonic can be added to feed or water. Use as prevention as well as cure. 1.5 - 3ml per 10 litres water. 250ml bottle. This product has a nice taste to it so there will be no problem treating a sick bird. To see product click here
Happy Chicks can really recommend this product for use whenever your birds have a bit of a cough or the snuffles, or look under the weather for no real reason or just if their droppings are a bit watery. It is not cheap but it goes a long way. Many customers swear by it to keep their hens worm free and healthy.

After turning people away for a long time we have now found a company we can use to deliver our hens. We have several phone calls a day asking for delivery thorughout the uk and now finally have the confidence the to send them. This new company has been transporting birds for many years and have the experience that is needed is hens are making a long journey.
There is a charge of £40.00 for up to 3 hens and £2 per hen after that. Please call us to arrange this rather than going through the website so we can arrange delivery. Tel 01253 813178

I headed down to the BBC today for an interview with Stephen Lowe!! It was fab, I didn't want to leave! Anyway, after half an hour they kicked me out!

When i got home exhausted after having to get up 'eggstra' early to feed my babies we got a phone call off the BBC 'people' and on the 10th January 2010 the BBC are coming to us for a Sunday afternoon radio show!! i'm so excited!! SO NEED ALL MY REGULARS TO TURN UP AND SAY HOW THEY FEEL ABOUT THEIR CHICKS!
We thinking of doing small snacks like bacon butties, refreshments and mulled wine (lots of - for my nerves!)

Miracle 'drug'
We get sent loads of stuff from poultry companies wanting us to sell their products and most of the time we use them, they don't work and we throw them away. We only sell here what we use ourselves!
We recently got sent a product called 'nutri drops' which is for lethargic sick hens. It claims to work within 30 minutes!
As we rescue the ex battery hens here we do occasionally get a poorly one. When hens go into the lethargic state they sometimes never recover so we tried this product on 9 hens over a period of a week. It worked on 8 out of the nine ex batts and they are fully fit after just a couple of days!!
This product is really a must and every poultry keeper should have a bottle tucked away just in case!

We have just hatched our first Rhea!! After going 4-5 days over their 'due date' and a emergency 'c-section' on one of the eggs!!
These two beauties are called 'luvly jubbly' and 'diah' (dont let the kids name the pets in future!)

Have you got a hen who is a little down?
We have discovered a new product which we are using on some of our hens, especially our ex-battery hens. It's a 'pick-me-up' well worth having around. Hens get noticibly more 'glossy' and eggs increase with amazing product.
You'll see the difference straight away with the colour of their combs and the intensity of the yolk!

....... twinkle star is!!!
Twinkle star is my new pet pig! she is soooo gorgeous. I love her! Twinkle star had already reared one lot of piglets before she came to us, so we are going to try and get her pregnant so we can have some more!!!. The only problem we have here is no boy berkshire boar, so.............. we are inseminating her ourselves!! Shouldn't be a problem - looks like she's already got a soft spot for Richard!!!
We have found a lovely place in Ireland who are willing to ship the required 'goods' at a moments notice!
Blackrocks are the best!!!
Hi.. if you have been to see us here i have probably tried to sell you a Blackrock!! We carry 24 breeds here but the Blackrock is my personal favorite! Take a look at my daughter Emma having fun with one of the 18 week old hens (we have not harmed, glued, or stuck the hen to the bike in anyway!)
We're going QUACKERS!!!
Its that time of year again when we are swamped with eggs!! As from the 9th March onwards we will be selling day old duckings!!! These are mostly Aylesbury's and a few Runners. We are so excited here - are girls are doing us proud! These are available to order now and we will let you know when they hatch. Collection should be made within a couple of weeks of hatching if possible. If you want an older duck just give us a call and you can still order but we will continue to grow them here for you.
We also have lots of day old chicks available thanks to fantastic breeding sets who are enjoying the first signs of spring.

Chicken Out Competition!!!
We are running a competition with the fylde area!! Any school can enter. All we want is a drawing/painting of a hen/poultry off the pupils and a sentence why they thnk their school should have hens - the winners will recieve 12 ex-batts plus all feeders/drinkers, feed, grit and healthcare products. All they need is a buliding to house these precious feathered friends in.
Good luck everyone, we'll give a helping hand in the welfare of the hens - who will reward their new owners with 300 eggs a year each!!!
