Road works this weekend near our Farm
For those people visiting us this weekend please take not one part of our road is closed. we are still open as usual but you will have to come in to us a slightly different way. If you are approaching from the south, when you get into Preesall at the Preesall and Knott End sign you will have to continue along the A588 road towards Lancaster
then.... Turn right immediately after Nightingale Car sales (big yellow and red canopy that used to be a petrol station)
This road is Green Dicks Lane, although its very small it has loads of Artics and HGV’s down it, so watch out on those sharp bends…..
After the houses start you are driving towards our barn, at 12.1 miles immediately at the other side of the barn turn right into the driveway next to the Happy Chicks sign and park anywhere that doesn’t block the drive. The shop is on the right after the barn.
Directions from the South
On the M55 take Junction 3 (kirkham junction) turn right off the roundabout.
Into Greenhalgh – watch out for 40mph camera.
At 2 miles follow signs for Poulton, straight on.
At 3 miles turn left following signs for Fleetwood.
At 4 miles (Shell station) bear right at traffic lights following signs for Fleetwood and Knott End
At 5 miles turn right at traffic lights following signs for Preesall and Pilling
At 6.3 miles turn left at the mini roundabout, following the flow of traffic through Hambleton,
past the Shovels on your left, Tolleys on your right, along the same road into for Stalmine, through a series of sharp bends, past the Seven Stars on your right, down the little incline, past the ‘Preesall with Knott End’ sign, then watching for lorries in the middle of the road on the sharp bend, at 8.5 miles carry straight on following the sign to Knott End.
Along this road passing the Saracens Head and Black Bull at 10 miles, then over a bridge and join a junction where you carry straight on following signs for Knott End.
At 10.5 miles take the first right on this road (onto Pilling Lane) and at
11 miles turn right on the roundabout following the caravan site signs.
At 11.3 miles watch out for the zebra on your left and at
11.5 miles turn into our drive where the tree overhangs the road with our Happy Chicks sign below.
Park anywhere that doesn’t block the road in, and the shop is on the right.
Directions from the North
Come off the M6 at junction 33, go left on the roundabout.
At 2 miles take the road on the right, it’s a right fork immediately next to the white house on the junction of the roads.
At 2.8 miles watch for oncoming traffic as you go over the bridge.
Into Cockerham.
At 3.5 miles at the T Junction turn right for Cockerham
At 3.8 miles turn left signposted Blackpool and Knott End.
Along this road now for several miles
At 7.6 miles still follow the road, onto Lancaster Road, still signposted Blackpool and Knott End
At 8.3 miles past the Elletson Arms

We Deliver!!
After turning people away for a long time we have now found a company we can use to deliver our hens. We have several phone calls a day asking for delivery thorughout the uk and now finally have the confidence the to send them. This new company has been transporting birds for many years and have the experience that is needed is hens are making a long journey.
There is a charge of £40.00 for up to 3 hens and £2 per hen after that. Please call us to arrange this rather than going through the website so we can arrange delivery. Tel 01253 813178
