Anti-pecking products ...
Anti-Pecking Pecking is usually caused by boredom or mixing the wrong breeds. Always talk to you breeder before purchasing additional hens to make sure they will happily go with original girls.
Boredom can be solved by hanging items of interest such as a cabbage or broccoli.
Coccidiosis products ...
Coccidiosis - Diarrhoea, Loss of weight, Hen looks 'untidy' This illness tend to effect chicks more than anything else, but is not unheard of in older flock members. The first signs are hens looking 'untidy' followed by huddling and Diarrhea. In some cases blood maybe in the droppings. Early treatment is essential.
Parasite control products...
Internal and External Parasites Hens needs regular healthcare, once a month you need to worm and 'dust' your hens. This only takes 5 mins.
Dusting'
Open up the coop in the evening when the hens are perching and gently shake some louse powder with the coop to create a mild dusty atmosphere. This 30 second job will kill and repel any lice for a good six weeks, but if you do it every 4 weeks you will NEVER get lice.
Worming
Like cats and digs hens need worming, this keeps hem fit and health so they can carry on giving you a little present everyday!

We soon realised that the vaccination options available to us for our hens was not available to people who wanted to vaccinate there chicks they had hatched at home. This business is purely designed to protect peoples chicks hatched at home against the common poultry illnesses.
Happy Chicks offers advice and help to anyone wanting to start vaccinating their chicks. Most vaccinations are done in the first 6 weeks and we guide you through this. A vaccine can cost as little as £12.00, but this single vile can do up to 1000 hens, so if you have hatched a dozen chicks it is only a pound a chick to vaccinate.
The most important thing about our venture is we are here to help. We are fully qualified to prescribe the vaccines to people. Once you have made your purchase of vaccines you will receive a phone from us before the medication is sent out so that we can make sure you are fully aware of what to do. We also need to make sure that you have chosen the correct vaccines as the need for vaccination of some diseases is dependent on you individual circumstances.
