White Star (leghorn) hens

I bought my white star along with 5 other mixed breed birds and kylie ( my white star) was the first to lay and she has laid me a white egg every day since. She's a really calm bird too loves my kids. Going to be buying more and will always reccomend Happy Chicks !

Got three of these Girlies now with a speckled and a blacktail. Only just got speckled n one of these yesterday and are settling well- she's a little feisty at the mo but I'm sure it'll calm down. My original 3 are so docile but so funny! The best buys ever not to mention the best eggs- go girls!

Doris really is our "white star" after being very shy at first she has now completely changed, she will follow you around the garden & is the most vocal out of our 6 girls. Trying putting washing on the line with a chicken around your ankles!!! not an easy task. As I've said on my review of our blackrock,Cheryl how healthy & clean all of our chickens were on arrival & how good Sarah is at Happy Chicks, I have recommend them to everybody.

Whitey was one of 3 different breeds I got as a first time poultry keeper. Fiesty at first but now she has started laying what a performer. A pure white egg a day.

What can I say about Shelly our White Star? She's a nutter! Iman above called his bird "the comedian of the bunch", I think this sums the breed up perfectly. She's not the easiest to catch when she fancies a run, but once you've got her she's very placid and will sit on your knee to have under her wings tickled for hours. She is a prolific layer of pure white eggs and is a must have bird if you want variety in your group.
