This is a very intensive 1 hour + theory and hands on course for those who wish to learn about keeping chickens.
It is a fun morning with other like-minded people.
- Discussing the breeds and finding the right breeds for you
- What to look for when purchasing chickens.
- Accommodation, density, well-being and husbandry. How and what to feed etc.
- Common diseases, avoidance, identification, control and treatment.
- Reproduction, hatching and rearing.
- The course includes ‘hands on’ inspection. You will get to clip their wings and handle the chicks, ducks and hens
You will leave us with all the knowlegde (practival and theory) you need to look after poultry perfectly

I brought my elderly parents, mother-in-law and husband on the course. We all learnt a lot, Sarah is fantastically knowledgable, and makes the day fun with anecdotes...but the hands on time gave the 'oldies' confidence to provide holiday cover :-) My Mum has Alzheimers, and M-I-L struggles walking but they all loved the day so much - they want to come back again - just for fun and to see the chicks and goslings again!

A really good hands on session for those who are thinking of getting chickens, and those who already have chickens. Very informative information from people who actually do know their stuff on chickens! Really Enjoyed it and learnt a lot! Thanks
